Angela Alban, president and CEO of SIMETRI, Inc. has accepted an invitation to serve a two-year term on a newly formed advisory board at the University of Central Florida (UCF).
Fulfilling the belief that every individual should have access to a quality education, the new Advancement Advisory Board for the College of Undergraduate Studies and Division of Student Learning and Academic Success brings promise to life by offering advising, academic resources, and learning experiences that enables students to succeed academically, professionally, and civically.
“I’m really proud of UCF and its work to ensure every current and future Knight has access to the best education and a well-supported, fulfilling college experience,” said Alban. “I look forward to providing insight from my experience to help develop strategies to advance the college’s and the division’s visions.”
Alban earned her master’s degree in computer engineering from UCF, after earning her bachelor’s degree at Emory University in mathematics and computer science.
In addition to serving on this new board position at UCF, Alban also serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the UCF College of Engineering and Science and is part of the United Cerebral Palsy of Central Florida Charter School Board and Board of Directors. She is the current chair of the Orlando Regional Chamber and serves as a board member for the National Center for Simulation, National Defense Industrial Association, and Orlando Economic Partnership.
