The SIMETRI team stands ready for their new building!
SIMETRI, Inc., a woman-owned, award-winning modeling and simulation company, celebrated the groundbreaking of its new corporate headquarters building on Friday, March 19. The 22,000-square-foot building in Orlando will house the SIMETRI offices and labs in about 13,500 square feet of the total area, with the remainder of space designated for other occupants. It is expected to be completed by the end of August 2021.
The builder, Rhodes Building Company, worked with SIMETRI to host a safe event that welcomed the entire SIMETRI workforce; friends and family of president and CEO, Angela Alban; Orlando Chamber of Commerce members, SIMETRI’s business support team – its banker, builder, accountant and public relations firm.

“We are very excited to have our own space and to have the opportunity to design it based on our needs and also the desires of our team members, who work so hard to make our company successful,” said Alban. “We spend a good part of our days in the office, so we are looking forward to having our own facility that comfortably fits all of us and allows us to do our jobs more efficiently, and the extra space allows for our future growth. It really is a great day for all of us at SIMETRI.”
SIMETRI’s core business focuses on engineering, professional services, manufacturing and production, and they are widely known for providing top-of-the-line medical training simulation products, including anatomical models used by the U.S. Army, both full body and part task trainers, as well as moulage. All of these products are designed, developed and manufactured on-site, one of the reasons that SIMETRI’s founder is investing in a building that allows a sizeable lab to continue this innovative work.

Community members attend the SIMETRI groundbreaking ceremony.
“We love the Orlando community and in particular the modeling, simulation and training industry from which we’ve grown our foundation,” said Alban. “It’s humbling to use that success to build upon and continue to grow.”
“It is exciting when businesses make the investment to put down permanent roots in our community,” said Wendy Kurtz, APR, chair of the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Advisors and president of Elizabeth Charles & Associates, LLC. “Constructing their own building demonstrates a true commitment to our region and underscores what a great place Orlando is for business.”
Kurtz added, “SIMETRI’s groundbreaking represents a culmination of many years of dedication and hard work by Angela and her team. I’m delighted to see Angela’s business continuing to thrive and grow.”
