SIMETRI, Inc., announced it has been awarded a business grant by Prospera, an economic development, non-profit organization that offers a variety of services especially designed for Hispanic small business owners. SIMETRI is a woman-and minority-owned small business providing products and services to government organizations, and specializing in the modeling, simulation and training sector.

“We’re always looking to improve our products and services, and we frequently invest internal research and development dollars to improve or create a solution to fill a training gap,” said Angela Albán, CEO and president of SIMETRI, Inc. “This business grant is focused on marketing and will allow us to concentrate on promoting and branding some of the products we are commercializing. It will help expand into new markets or grow in other markets that we have just tapped into. It’s such an honor to have Prospera’s support and we appreciate their interest in helping Hispanic-owned businesses succeed.”

Prospera empowers Hispanic entrepreneurs through training, support and resources so their businesses can grow and prosper.

“Our business grants allow organizations like SIMETRI to receive professional development services at no cost so they can invest in areas they might not otherwise have the funding or the staffing to pursue,” said Augusto Sanabria, Prospera president & CEO. “We are extremely impressed by SIMETRI’s vision and growth and look forward to working together to help them reach new goals.”

Prospera recently co-hosted the 2019 Don Quijote Awards with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando on Saturday, Dec. 14 at Epcot’s World Showplace Pavilion, where SIMETRI and CEO Angela Albán were recognized as the winner of the Hispanic Business of the Year, More Than Five Years category.
